Abstract

In modern times, information and communication technology is progressing very rapidly and increasingly sophisticated. Shown by the presence of device technology that can have a negative or positive impact on its users. The purpose of this study was to determine parents' knowledge about the impact of device use on pre-school children in RA/BA/TA Ridwanushsholihin, Lowokwaru Malang.

The design of this study is descriptive research that describes only one variable. The population is all parents totaling 85 parents of students from playgroup, kindergarten A and kindergarten B in RA/BA/TA Ridwanushshihin. The sampling method used was a total sampling with a total of 85 respondents, namely parents whose children attended RA/BA/TA Ridwanushsholihin. The variable studied is parental knowledge. The data of this study were taken using questionnaires.

The results found that half 50.6% (43 parents) were well-informed, and almost half 30.6% (26 parents) were well-informed, and a small percentage of 18.8% (16 parents) were knowledgeless. Seeing the results of this study, there needs to be motivation to increase knowledge so that in the future parents are more aware in providing devices to their children.
